Quality sign-off, exception resolution and day-to-day client ownership for a fund administration portfolio — guiding the analysts behind it.
About the role
Oban Academy is a middle-office outsourcing partner delivering Fund Administration, Corporate Treasury, FP&A and Digital Solutions from Mauritius, Madagascar and India. As a Senior Fund Administration Analyst/Supervisor you own quality sign-off and exception resolution for an assigned portfolio, act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, auditors, custodians and administrators, and guide and review the work of Fund Administration Analysts.
Key responsibilities
Quality sign-off & exception management
- Review and sign off fund accounting deliverables — NAV, reconciliations, capital activity, payment instructions prepared by Analysts, taking accountability for their accuracy before release.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, variances and other escalated exceptions.
- Prepare root-cause analyses for errors or breaks and implement corrective actions that strengthen the control framework.
- Approve capital call and distribution notices, investor statements and payment instructions before dispatch.
- Monitor SLA and turnaround-time compliance, upholding a noiseless, error-free standard.
Client & stakeholder liaison
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, auditors, custodians and administrators.
- Lead weekly client service meetings, providing status updates and resolving open items.
- Support client onboarding by configuring fund structures and SOPs within Oban systems.
Team guidance & review
- Allocate and review the daily workload of Analysts, providing technical guidance and on-the-job coaching.
- Train and mentor Analysts, building a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Contribute performance feedback to the Manager to support the team’s appraisal process.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years in fund administration or fund accounting, including exposure to Private Equity, Private Debt or Hedge Fund structures.
- ACCA, ACA or CFA part-qualified (final level) or equivalent.
- Strong command of fund administration systems and advanced Excel.

- Client focus — professional, responsive client communication and relationship management.
- Leadership & coaching — able to guide, review and develop junior colleagues.
- Judgement — sound decision-making in resolving exceptions and escalations.
