About the role
At Oban Academy we build technology that empowers people and transforms organisations. We’re looking for a forward-thinking Senior .NET Developer with a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence to join our growing technology team and deliver impactful, AI-enabled solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
- Build scalable APIs and backend services.
- Integrate AI and Generative-AI capabilities into business applications.
- Collaborate with consultants and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
- Contribute to solution architecture and technical design discussions.
- Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews and best practices.
- Drive innovation and proof-of-concept projects involving AI technologies.
- Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional .NET development.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework and SQL Server.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and cloud-based solutions.
- Solid grasp of software design patterns and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with Git and Agile development.
Preferred skills
- Azure AI Services, OpenAI APIs or Generative-AI solutions.
- Microsoft Azure.
- AI agents, intelligent automation and chatbot development.
- Containerisation (Docker) and DevOps / CI-CD pipelines.
