End-to-end ownership of an FP&A portfolio — delivery, commercials, client relationships and the team behind them.
About the role
Oban Academy is a middle-office outsourcing partner delivering Fund Administration, Corporate Treasury, FP&A and Digital Solutions from Mauritius, Madagascar and India. As a FP&A Manager you own the end-to-end delivery, financial performance and client relationships for an assigned portfolio — setting the service delivery framework and leading the Senior Analysts/Supervisors and Analysts who support it. The role carries full portfolio, financial/KPI and people-management accountability.
Key responsibilities
Portfolio & client relationship ownership
- Own the overall relationship for your portfolio, acting as the senior escalation point for service and delivery matters.
- Chair monthly client governance meetings, presenting delivery performance, risk items and improvement plans.
- Approve client onboarding, service scoping and fee proposals in liaison with senior management.
Financial & KPI accountability
- Own the budget, utilisation and profitability targets for the portfolio, reporting to senior leadership.
- Hold overall accountability for the accuracy, timeliness and quality of every deliverable across the portfolio.
- Track and report delivery KPIs — turnaround time, error rate, SLA compliance — ensuring consistent, noiseless service.
People leadership & development
- Manage, coach and formally appraise Senior Analysts/Supervisors and Analysts, owning their development plans.
- Build team spirit and a positive, high-performance culture across the portfolio.
- Own resourcing, recruitment and capacity planning.
Governance, risk & process ownership
- Own the governance and risk/control framework, reviewing RCAs and embedding corrective actions to prevent recurring errors.
- Approve material process, SOP or system changes and sponsor cross-team improvement initiatives.
- Report material risks, incidents or client issues to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- ACCA, ACA, CFA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
- 7+ years in FP&A or management accounting, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity.
- Proven experience managing client relationships and leading teams; a strong grounding in budgeting, forecasting and business partnering.

- Leadership — builds, motivates and develops high-performing teams.
- Commercial acumen — manages budgets, pricing and profitability.
