First-line review over daily treasury deliverables — cash monitoring, forecasting support and the evidence trail behind client assurance.
About the role
Oban Academy is a middle-office outsourcing partner delivering Fund Administration, Corporate Treasury, FP&A and Digital Solutions from Mauritius, Madagascar and India. As a Corporate Treasury Analyst you provide the first line of review over the day-to-day deliverables for your assigned clients — validating data, checking outputs against source documents and client procedures, and flagging exceptions for escalation.
Key responsibilities
Cash & liquidity monitoring
- Perform daily cash position and bank balance monitoring against source data and client SOPs.
- Check the completeness and accuracy of inputs (bank statements, payment files, intercompany schedules, FX confirmations).
- Identify discrepancies, breaks or anomalies, log them, and escalate items outside tolerance to the Senior Analyst/Supervisor.
- Maintain the quality-control checklist and the audit evidence trail behind client assurance.
Cash flow forecasting & payments support
- Support short-term cash flow forecasts by verifying inputs and supporting schedules.
- Assist with bank account reconciliations across client entities, preparing supporting documentation for review.
- Prepare draft payment instructions and bank transfer requests for review prior to release.
Records, data & client knowledge
- Keep client, transaction and statutory records accurate, filed and version-controlled in the relevant treasury systems and the Oban platform.
- Update trackers — bank mandates, signatory lists, payment logs, action logs — as required.
- Build working knowledge of your client entities, banking structures and regulatory deadlines, and suggest process improvements.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline — final-year students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- 0–2 years in treasury, accounting or financial services (internships count).
- Part-progress towards ACCA, ACA, CFA or ACT is an advantage, but not required at this level.
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook, and comfortable adopting new digital and AI-enabled tools.
What we’re looking for
- Attention to detail — methodical and precise, with a zero-tolerance approach to data and payment errors.
- Analytical ability — able to interpret financial data and spot discrepancies against expectations.
- Adaptability — comfortable working alongside AI-driven processes and evolving workflows.
- Communication — clear, professional written communication for escalation and documentation.
- Ownership — reliable and organised, managing your own workload against daily deadlines.
